Letter #691

From:   Bernadette Barnaud

Location:   SOuth Dakota

Dear President Obama, I am 23 years old. I graduated in May of 2008 with a B.A. in French and Spanish and a minor in international studies. Since 2008, I have been applying for jobs using my language skills but have not been able to get a job anywhere. I may as well have not gone to school. Now, I am 38,000 dollars in debt and I cannot find a job where I will be able to pay that. I just wanted to let you know that I don't feel like I wasted my time with school. I learned a lot. However, I cannot find a job in my field and I don't know what to do. I have so much to give. I have applied with the Americorps but have recieved only rejections and no responses. I come from a ranch in Western SOuth Dakota and I feel like agriculture is what I know best but with all the money I borrowed for school I can't get a loan to work in agriculture. Do you know of any programs for women to start in agriculture? What would you suggest? Thank you for your time President Obama. I hope you might be able to give me some advice. Bernadette
